Cubase 5 Error

Καλησπέρα έχω το cubase 5 μέχρι σήμερα λειτουργούσαν όλα comple μέχρι πριν λίγο που πήγα να ανοίξω ένα project εκεί που πάει να φορτώσει τα αρχεία μου βγάζει ένα παράθυρο και μου γράφει αυτό ''Α serious problem has occurred: Please try to save your project under another name and then restart Cubase5.exe.If this problem persists please contact Steingberg Technical Support with a description of what you do to create this problem,and the created file c:\Program Files (x86)\Steingberg\Cubase5\Cubase5.LOG.

 

Click 'OK' to be informed about further occurences of serius problems,or 'Cancel' to suppress these warnings in case of cascading warnings!''

 

τι μπορεί να έχει πάθει ? και αν υπάρχει κάποια λύση να φτιαχτεί για να μην χαθεί το project..

ενα προβλημα μπορεί να είναι η δυσλειτουργία κάποιου απο τα plug in που χρησιμοποιείς γι αυτο το project. Δες το log file, μηπως σου λεει ποιο .dll εχει δημιουργησει τυχον το προβλημα

 

Αν εβαλες καποιο καινουριο plug in απενεργοποίησε το απο το cubase, αν και αυτο δεν λυνει παντα το προβλημα, γιατι το αρχικο scan για plugins το κανει ακομα και να ειναι απενεργοποιημένα, θα πρεπει να το βγαλεις προσωρινα τελειως απο το φακελο των plug inns κατα προτιμηση χειροκίνητα.

 

Μετα μπορεις να πας με την μεθοδο του αποκλεισμού αμα δεν βρεις ακρη με αυτα, αν θυμασαι ποια plug in εχεις χρησιμοποιήσει, να αφαιρεις ενα ενα προσωρινα απο τον φακελο των plug in και να δοκιμαζεις να ξαναανοιξεις το project.

 

Σε περίπτωση που πιασει κατι απο αυτα που σου εγραψα και εντοπισεις το προβληματικο plug in, αν ειναι θεμα plug in , αφαιρεσε το η δες αμα υπαρχει αναβαθμισμενη εκδοση γι αυτο με μια ερευνα στο internet η στο site της εταιρειας του.

 

Τελος υπαρχει και η μπακαλικη λυση , εμενα μου εχει πιασει σπανια βεβαια, να γυρισεις το συστημα σου μεσω επαναφορας συστηματος σε προγενεστερη κατασταση που το project ανοιγε.

 

Αυτα απο εμενα, αυτα κατεβασε η κεφαλα μου , ευχομαι να λυθει το προβλημα σου ειτε απο αυτα που εγραψα είτε απο καποιον αλλο φιλο που θα επιμεληθεί του θεματος συντομα.

έβγαλα όλα τα plug ins αλλά πάλι τα ίδια  :(

δεν χρησιμοποιω το συγκεκριμενο cubase, δεν ξερω τι updates εχεις διαθεσιμα, μηπως ριχνοντας ενα update του προγραμματος ή και το ιδιο το προγραμμα ξανα? Πριν προχωρησεις σε αυτο περιμενε και καμμια αλλη αποψη απο εναν εμπειρο χρηστη του cubase 5

τελος μπορεις να δοκιμασεις και αυτα γενικοτερα αναλογα με το συστημα του υπολογιστη σου , την καρτα ηχου που χρησιμοποιεις κλπ.

1. Please examine your system and make sure that all device drivers of the system are up to date. This involves the drivers of the audio hardware as well as the chipset drivers and the display card drivers. Also Windows XP/Vista should be up to date (Service Packs and updates/hot fixes). You should avoid using dedicated mouse and keyboard drivers, instead use the drivers provided by Windows!

 

2. Systems with shared memory display setups are not advisable. They often can be found on mobile systems (laptops). It is advisable to throttle or deactivate hardware acceleration for the display card (Display Settings--> troubleshooting). Also check the control panel of your display card driver and deactivate any option that could be a strain to your system.

 

3. The Windows option "Adjust for best performance": In the Control Panel -> System -> Advanced system settings -> Performance Settings, you can find the option „Adjust for best performance“. This option should be checked.

 

4. Audio interface related settings:

 

Onboard Soundcards: If your mainboards provides an onboard soundcard it should be configured to be the standard playback device in the Windows Sound and Audio Settings. Thus, the Windows system sound will be played back by the onboard device without affecting the audio signal of your audio interface or soundcard. However, if playback issues occur it can also be advisable to deactivate the onboard device in the BIOS of your system. Onboard soundcards cannot be recommended for the usage with our products since they do not allow working with low latencies due to missing ASIO drivers. Furthermore, most onboard soundchips are equipped with substandard AD/DA converters and only offer low signal quality (high noise level, non-linear frequency response, bad electrostatic shield).

Latency/Buffer Setting: If you experience audio drop-outs or crackles take a look at the "ASIO" part of the VST Performance Window (Devices menu). It indicates how much resources are left to calculate the audio data and forward it to the audio driver in time. If the latency is very low (which is corresponding to a very small buffer size) time might be too short for proper signal processing. Depending on the system, the audio interface and the running project, it might make sense to increase the latency/buffer setting. Please refer to the manual of the corresponding audio interface for details. Updating the audio driver might also improve the overall system performance and allow using latencies which weren't usable before. Generally, internal audio cards using the PCI or PCIe bus are able to provide lower latencies than external USB or Firewire based audio interfaces.

 

5. Processor scheduling: It might make sense to set the processor scheduling to "Background services":

 

Go to Windows Start menu, select "Control Panels"

There, start "System"

Windows XP: select the tab "Advanced"

Windows Vista: click on "Advanced system properties" to open "System Properties" and select the tab "Advanced"

Click on "Settings" in the section "Performance"

In the window "Performance Options" select the tab "Advanced"

There you find the "Processor scheduling" options, set it to "Background services"

 

Especially Windows XP users should apply these settings.

 

6. Any energy saving options should be deactivated or set to "none". The system should be configured for continues operations. If this is not done, hard disks will throttle in speed or toggle off after a while and some processors will down clock and slow down. Because of this, our products could stop functioning correctly.

 

7. Programs that are running in background can cause issues while working with our products or even already during installation. These programs are mostly configured to automatically start when Windows boots up, e.g. virus scanners, security software, firewalls, printer and media software. It is advisable to deactivate these programs and slim out your auto start. You can mostly configure this through the settings of the program itself or you must manually deactivate them through typing "msconfig" (without the "") via Start -> Run. A freeware tool that could help you organizing your auto start would be “Startup Control Panel” which can be found on www.mlin.net.

 

8. Also, current PC systems feature speed stepping technologies (Intel: EIST, AMD: Cool ‘n’ Quiet) that automatically adjust the CPU clock depending on the overall system strain. If drop outs occur during playback, it might make sense to disable this feature in the BIOS settings of your motherboard and see whether this improves the performance.

 

9. Last but not least, please keep in mind that we do not recommend using Intel’s Hyper-Threading technology on multicore systems like the Intel i7 processor or older Extreme Edition and Xeon CPUs by Intel as Hyper-Threading can also have a negative side-effect on the performance. Again, disable it in the BIOS if you encounter any performance issues.

Λοιπόν, θα σου πω ένα μυστικό...

 

Είναι πολύ μυστικό όμως, πρόσεξε καλά...

 

Καταρχάς, cubase 5...

 

 

 

τέλος πάντων, δε θέλω να το πάω εκεί, για αυτό άκου το μυστικό:

 

Όταν δουλεύεις, όσο προχωράει το project, θα του αλλάζεις ονόματα. Δηλαδή, αν λέγεται saro, στην πορεία, μετά από π.χ. 1-2 ωρίτσες δουλειάς δε θα κάνεις save αλλά save as saro 2, κάποια στιγμή μετά saro 3 κλπ.

 

 

Και γιατί κύριε Μάνο, θα μου πεις, να το κάνω αυτό;

 

Διότι κύριε saro, όταν το αρχείο που σώζει το pc είναι πολύπλοκο, όπως καλή ώρα τα αρχεία του cubase, και όταν το πρόγραμμα είναι λίγο GTP όπως καλή ώρα το cubase ;D, υπάρχει μια μικρή αλλά υπαρκτή πιθανότητα το αρχείο που θα σώσουμε να είναι corrupt. Επίσης, υπάρχει η πιθανότητα το project μας στην πορεία να έχει "σκάσει", αλλά να μην το έχουμε πάρει χαμπάρι, αλλά όταν θα το ξανανοίξουμε να μην μπορεί να ξεκινήσει. Σε αυτήν τη δεύτερη περίπτωση, αν ανεβάσουμε το Latency ΠΡΙΝ φορτώσουμε το Project έχουμε ελπίδα να ξαναξεκινησει.

 

Αλλά ειδικά αυτό με τα renames, καλό είναι να σου γίνει συνήθεια, γιατί ας πούμε τώρα λογικά θα σου άνοιγε η προηγούμενη version.

 

Σου εύχομαι να μην είναι corrupt το project, όπως επίσης και να μην σε αφορά ο Mister bean που παρέθεσα οπότε να μπορείς να απευθυνθείς στους ειδικούς, δηλαδή στη Steinberg.

η τακτικη μετονομασιας χρησιμοποιείται και απο τον cos_dr στο δικο του daw, γιατι ειναι μια πολιτική ασφαλείας αρκετά πετυχημένη. Παρολο που εχω παρατήσει το cubase πολλά χρονια πριν,  δεν το κατηγορω γιατι προβλήματα ενδέχεται να παρουσιαστούν σε ολα τα daws οσο το project φορτωνει. Θελει προσοχή.

Ναι όντως, όχι μόνο στα daw αλλά και σε πολλά άλλα προγράμματα μπορεί να συμβεί αυτό, ακόμα και σε word processors, το σίγουρο είναι ότι αν σου τύχει στραβή, μετά προσέχεις περισσότερο.
